In addition to the annual Festival in January, Palm Beach Poetry Festival partners with other non-profit organizations and schools to bring poetry into the lives of Palm Beach County residents year-round.
HIGH SCHOOL POETRY CONTEST - Annually
The festival works with literary arts teachers throughout Palm Beach County and distributes contest information through the offices of school principals about the contest. Last year, we received over three hundred entries. Students in grades 9-12 in public, private and charter schools in Palm Beach County are invited to participate. Winner and runners up are honored at an event during the Festival.

BARDS OF A FEATHER
An open reading event at Green Cay Wetlands Preserve.
At this open Round Robin Reading, participants are invited to bring 3-4 poems about nature to read. Poems can be old favorites or original poetry. The event is free and open to the public and co-sponsored by the Friends of Green Cay. Check the events page for dates and times.
THE TEEN POETRY PROJECT Mission: The Teen Poetry Project is an artistic community outreach program that seeks to promote literacy and voice through poetry. We provide young people ongoing support of the desire to reach their creative potential through writing and performing poetry. This program seeks to increase opportunities for compassion and learning from one another. We invite any eligible student interested in poetry to inquire about becoming part of the Teen Poetry Project.
